Earth Medicine for the Soul is hosted by Stronghorse and Oakwalker—two elders, soul brothers, and wisdom keepers who offer honest reflections, stories lived and felt, and simple, grounded practices that reconnect us to spirit, to the Earth, and to our own inner knowing.

These are not lectures or teachings—they’re heart-to-heart conversations. From dreaming and grace to shamanic traditions and navigating the unknown, no topic is off limits.

FRANK STRONGHORSE

Frank Stronghorse was born in Dallas, Texas in 1947 where he graduated from Highland Park High School and then obtained a BS in Finance from the University of South Carolina. In his various travels, he has lived in Atlanta, Sausalito, Los Angles, Phoenix, Dallas, and Austin. He currently resides on his ranch outside of Austin with his wife Colleen.

In 1986, Stronghorse attended a workshop with Harley Swiftdeer Regean in Texas which was followed up shortly thereafter with a Vision Quest throughout the Southwest portion of the U. S. He has been an apprentice of Swiftdeer and the warrior/priest path of the Sweet Medicine Sundance Teachings of the Twisted Hairs Tradition of Turtle Island since 1986. These teachings originated in South and Central America thousands of years ago and come from the lineage of teachers with whom Carlos Castaneda studied.
Stronghorse is a 21-yr. Sun Dancer with the Dreaming Sundance tradition of the Twisted Hairs. Through a series of visions obtained during various ceremonies on Grandmother Earth, Stronghorse was led to explore the history and ancient traditions of the early Christian religion. As a result of his study and research, he was led to become an apprentice to the priesthood of The Divine Order of Melchizedek. Lord Melchizedek was the first teacher of monotheism which resulted in the formation of most of today’s world’s religions. Abraham was one of his main students and Yeshua Ben Joseph (Jesus) was another.

OAKWALKER

After a “Great Epiphany,” my journey into healing began with book learnin’—starting with Silver Ravenwolf’s To Ride a Silver Broomstick, Barbara Ann Brennan’s Hands of Light, and A Course in Miracles, which shaped my devotion to the healing path.

Early on it was mostly book learnin’, after my “Great Epiphany”. I learned some ceremony and healing from Silver Ravenwolf, in her books “To Ride a Silver Broomstick” and others. I learned a lot about the essence of Healing from Barbara Ann Brennan’s book “Hands of Light.” Influenced by “A Course in Miracles” I devoted the main thrust of my studies toward the healing side of things. I studied herb lore and healing from John Finch and Jane Richmond in Ocean Beach, San Diego, at the Self-Heal School. They were students of Rosemary Gladstar and Prem Rawat. I studied the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition from the Peruvian Master Don Oscar Miro Quesada. I went through his healing series, apprenticeship programs, sanctioned teacher training and years of gatherings and visits to Peru. Under that umbrella I was fortunate enough to study Peruvian medicine with Jason Blaesing, Tito LaRosa, Bonnie Glass Coffin, Bruce Metcalf and many others. I studied soul retrieval and dream analysis from Victoria Hoch, a student of Sandra Ingerman and Michael Harner. I was fortunate enough to be a student of Yona Welch, a Cherokee sweat master with Mateo Magee. I am a Member of the Melchizedekian Circle of the Seal, a peer of Stronghorse with that group. I’ve continued my work in circles with Mateo Magee, I am honored to be wed to one of Central Texas’ finest herbalists, Mrs. Jenny Oakwalker.
